How can we make the Rentec Direct property management software and tenant screening platform better?

  1. Management fees

    Management Fees to post at the beginning of the month not when the rent is posted. Also have it where its a setting. Having to click one by one on each property is time consuming. Work smarter not harder.

  4. Expose more fields on the "New Entry" choice when creating entries from a sync

    After syncing new transactions for a bank account, we need to be able to choose the Transaction Type (e.g. "Check") and the Check/Ref No. (to input check numbers) when creating new entries. As it is now, we have to fill out the other details, submit the transaction, then go find that transaction in the account ledger and edit it to put in the check number. VERY TEDIOUS.

  5. Tenant Report

    Re-Tenant Report, Statement.
    Need to have the option to select a determined number of tenant to be printed or sent the statements. These tenants can be selected from the same company or from different company.
    Right now I have to send the statements to a PDF then manually print the one I need. It{s confusion and time wasting. For instance, tenants in section 8, do not need to print the portion of statement of section 8.

  6. Back-Dated Payments Should Delete Late Fees! THIS IS A PROBLEM, RENTEC.

    Pre-dating tenant payments before the late fee charge date should erase the late fee. Weekends, vacation, illness, etc. can delay posting of rent payments. If one has a large number of tenants, this may lead to a MASSIVE manual late fee deletion project. I just encountered this issue and am considering unsubscribing to go to my previous PM program. Hopefully this can be instituted!

  7. Tenant Statment

    I would like that the program allows me to select the different tenant that I want to create the statement without having to do them one by one or having to do them all and then eliminate those that do not interest me

  11. Virtual Tours / Property Videos / Clickable Links

    Would great to have the ability to add a Virtual Tour and Video links. It's not something that Rentec needs to provide internally, it could be just as simple as allowing marketing listings to have 'CLICKABLE' links within the listing. --- If there is an issue with syndication Rentec could provide a section within the listing which would only be visible within the Rentec listing and not syndicated. This would allow us to provide an actual clickable link to videos, tours and really anywhere within the listing.

  14. Tenant Application Manager

    I would like to see a section under properties, "managers & Owners" for Applications so we can forward to a designated person or virtual assistant to alert them to process income and Landlord verifications only. This would be different than marketing manager or property manager.

    Need a way to show work orders in other than the one page per work order report. If the data was downloadable in csv format I could produce a more compact report.

  19. Vendor Payment, Notice to Vacate & Budgets

    I have worked with Rentec Direct for a year utilizing single family management. I was a property manager for Multi-Family previously and used software like YARDI and OneSite. Three ideas I have to better assist my daily activities are: Paying Vendors through the software like we are able to pay Owners. An official Notice To Vacate tab which will allow a property to show future availability and not stop current charges. It would be ideal to show up in the Summary Tab on the dashboard. Finally, a budget template to help create and forecast a budget for each Propertry/Owner and…
