To send an email directly, choose the email option from their menu, click on their email address that is visible below their name or in the hover pop-out tool.
On the next screen, you'll see a list of all emails that have been sent out to the selected tenant, owner, or vendor.
Click the Send Email button at the top of the screen to open the Send Message window. Here you can select an existing template, create a template, send to a group or compose a message that you would like to send directly to the tenant, owner, or vendor.
Pro Users: The "From:" address will be the email address you have entered under Settings > Your Contact Information.
PM Users: If you are the Primary User on the Rentec account, the "From:" address will be the email address you have entered under Settings > Your Contact Information. If you are not the Primary User, the "From:" address will be the email address you have entered under Settings > Setup Property Managers.
When a Tenant, Owner, or Vendor replies to your email, their reply will go into your actual email inbox and will not post automatically within your Rentec Direct program. However, if you would like their reply to show in your Rentec Direct program, click the RECORD button and copy and paste their email reply into the field for composing emails.
The record option allows you to copy emails that have been sent to you by a tenant, owner, or vendor. This tool could also be used to log other communication such as voicemail messages and letters.
After a message has been recorded, it will then show on the list along with your Sent messages.
