Maintenance, Vendor Portal, user restrictions

MAINTENANCE/VENDOR PORTAL - work orders and vendor information only - and options for tenant contact info; ability for vendors/maintenance to either have access to all maint. related items or only those they are given access to - options to enter new ones requests - maybe work orders could have a "viewer permissions" link in the work order ? Option for maint/vendors to be update/add notes,

    Rentec provides sharing options for work orders what we don't use because we keep extensive notes under the "resolution" section that we don't necessarily want our customers to see. So, if Rentec would provide a section in work orders for "Internal notes only" that are not visible when printed for vendors or when accessed by clienst through the portal, we could then use the sharing features.

    When we signed up for this program we didn't give it a second thought that this restriction would be included. We are very disappointed to later discover that we can't restrict employees to managing work orders only. They have full access to the ledgers and can wipe out a complete ledger!. We also found that there are not enough options to restrict employees activities in other areas of the program like editing ledgers (adding income or expenses) for properties or owners.

    I second Janell's suggestion. Need to be able to have a leasing agent or administrative assistant access tenant account information and balances, but there is no need to have them access "Financial Reports". Eliminating Financial Report access would be an easy update/fix?

    Would really love a "Maintenance Portal" option for our maintenance staff to see incoming work orders, without seeing our companies financial information. They could log-in and view work orders, schedule directly with tenants, and close the work orders out when finished. We would not want them to be able to view the company income/expense information, etc. Thank you for your consideration! -Kearney, Distinct Property Management, Co.

    It would be nice to be able to setup a userid that allows our maintenance guy to see the repair list, update it and close them out. Currently we have to followup up on each one assigned and get feedback and then type it in. That could be multiple calls per repair item until it is closed.

    I want the maintenance guy to be able to login and see only tasks assigned to him and be able to input resolution and close

    A vendor portal, or a way to email/print all work orders assigned to an individual vendor (by active/closed status) would be a great feature to have.

    Need to be able to have normal management functions of changing tenants, billing and work orders but restrict changing the property. The property and units do not change!

    I want to be able to give access to a person to only be able to create and edit work orders and to be able to submit them for payment. They do not need any othe access

    another sales lead (PM w/ 300+ units.)equesting more limitations on user access - does not want leasing agents or other "floor-staff" to see any financial details however still have access to post rent, look up property details, access marketing. Specifically, should not be able to edit any osted transactions, see financial reports, or bank/owner/property ledgers.
